Oil has been a fixture of conversation on Wall Street. The prices just seem to keep rising and rising. Today, oil futures shot up again after Mexico reported that it will cut one fifth of its production because of weather concerns. Investors reacted sharply and soon the price for a barrel of oil shot up to a record level. The rest of the market did not respond the same because many were anticipating another interest rate cut by the Fed after then meeting which is approaching soon. We shall see is oil futures continue to rise because of all the tension in the Middle East.
