With the Fed set to meet soon, the market was up. Investors are very hopeful that the Fed will make the decision to cut interest rates again in order to lure potential credit seekers back to the banks. The only problem with this is that when interest rates are cut, the economy is more susceptible to inflation. Inflation right now is bad enough, and if you couple it with the credit crunch, this could turn out to be a bad situation. The hope, however, is to revive the market that has taken several hits over the last few weeks, and the news does not appear to be getting better anytime soon.
