In today’s smart marketing blog, I will continue an earlier discussion on data mining. The smart marketing blog is a blog dedicated to marketing professionals regardless if they run their own business or if they work for a corporation. We offer tips and advice on a host of marketing issues that you might be interested in. For more information, come back to the smart marketing blog periodically.
In an earlier blog published in the later part of August, I discussed data mining and some of its potential. The Department of Homeland Security had recently announced a project with Kansas State University that is designed to streamline data mining methods. Additionally, there are companies out there who specialize in data mining. These companies figure out what their client’s target audience is, and then come up with strategies and software that is specifically tailored to meet the needs of their client. This is something that you might want to consider unless you already have a specialist who is familiar with the specifics of data mining. Either way, data mining just makes sense to include in any marketing strategy. It can help you save both time and money by finding the clients that will fit your product.
