In a recent survey done by the writers at vnunet, customers and business owners alike were asked how much faith they have in e commerce web sites. It was surprising to see that a lot of people do not trust e commerce websites. Their fears are based on the prospect of fraudulent credit card activity. Some of the statistics were quite telling. Out of all the small businesses out there, nearly eighteen percent said that they were concerned about credit card fraud. That is nearly one in five who do not trust e commerce, but out of those, only six percent have actually experienced any kind of credit card fraud. Six percent is a little to high to swallow, but it is still a relatively low number.
