Junk Stocks

Taking a paper loss is not something any of us look forward to, but it’s a necessity that we all have to face at some point.
A paper loss, for those of you who have never heard the term, is a loss that only occurs when you sell the stock. Remember, a loss is not a loss when it’s still sitting in your brokerage account. There’s always the potential for recovery until you sell.
However, don’t wait ‘until the cows come home’ for a junk stock to regain its footing. The sad fact is that you just may not live to see the day that happens. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on.
