Value Marketing

Value marketing is not a new idea. From the beginning of commerce, the value of a product or service is the core of it’s marketability.
How the product assists you in selling itself will be the determining factor as to the true value of the product.
- Determine the actual cash value of the product or service. Making something too cheap or too expensive for profit’s for selling sake can hurt the value. Hit a little or a little low but don’t hit the extremes.
- Determine the beneficial value. What can the product or service do? How will it help the consumer in their lives or industry? Focus on the benefits ‘before’ the features.
- Determine the value of the features. What does the product have or do that is worth the investment or time? Make an effort to minimize these issues in relation to other areas of value.
- Determine the value over your competitors. This goes without saying. Don’t sell this unless necessary, but know how you measure up to your competitors.
Value is one of the primary reasons consumers purchase anything. By discovering true value in your product and service, you will learn to market that value to a greater success over time.
