Marketing For Returns

marketing strategiesThe investment of marketing can payoff or can be a waste of money.  One mistake that most companies make with their marketing efforts is thinking that if they make sales from a campaign they have succeeded.

Think again.  Unless you are specifically designing a marketing effort for a short-term push with no desire of ongoing residuals or branding you should design your marketing focus for long-term client retention.

With this in mind consider the following options with your next campaign or strategy.

  1. Market your core competencies not your temporal plans or benefits.  What makes your company, product or service the answer for your client?
  2. Theme your marketing efforts.  Before you go public, make your theme and design carry a common thread no matter what your message may be.  Hit and miss publicity results in hit and miss money and branding.
  3. Brand your focus.  Make your focus and vision the main thing.  Keep it fresh on the hearts of the public eye in your target market.

When you take these steps you will encourage repeat business by your current customers as well as making your ‘brand’ have a resonance in the industry.

Focused thinking will create the streamlined marketing approach that you need in order to succeed in business.  Of course, your product and service must be able to stand to its marketing claims.
