Credit Safety Tips

credit card safety

Getting credit is
much easier than keeping a good credit rating.  When you finally get your credit
rolling the best thing you can do is to maintain good
credit.

Not only should you
maintain, but you should do regular checkups on your credit and credit score to
be careful that you don’t find yourself in a negative
situation.

Here are a few tips
to keep your credit on track:
  • Stop spending if you
can’t pay off your credit cards.  Getting your account close to your credit line
    hurts your credit.
  • Don’t open too many
accounts.  Every time you open a new account your credit score is
    effected.
  • Get a copy of your
credit report every few months.  You can subscribe to a quarterly or monthly
    report for a nominal fee.
  • Subscribe to a credit
watch service.  This will alert you to any changes in your credit score and
    history.
Take time to make
your credit worthiness a priority.  Get out of debt and begin building wealth.
Nothing is bad on a credit report that shows no debt!
