Closing Credit Accounts

With almost every service industry requiring contracts it was just a matter of time before receiving credit joined the game. You have opened a new credit card account and after a few months you owe nothing on it and desire the account to be closed.
There are times where accepting a credit card will bind you into a twelve month contract. Early cancellation of the contract could cost you anywhere from $50 to $200.
Most of the time these cards come with some kind of membership package that entitles you to special services and discounts to travel, fuel, and a number of other areas of savings.
With all the credit card offers that come in the mail, the best thing to do is just toss them. If you are really in need of a card, consider other options like a debt card, pre-paid card, or a reputable card with NO interest and a low credit limit.
