Marketing With Words

Words are everywhere. You see them, hear them, say them, and sometimes you eat
them. In marketing, you can’t afford to eat your words so be very selective in
choosing the appropriate words for your marketing strategy.
Don’t use
hyperbole or exaggerate the focus of you product or service. Buyers are not
motivated by the BIG promise or the UNBELIEVABLE deal. What does motivate
buyers are words that reveal three things:
- The service/product you offer is good and will stand up to use.
- To save them time or make their life easier.
- There is someone out there who can attest to the quality of the product or
service?
With these three things in mind, consider these words when
marketing your company:
- Testimonial - shows that someone has bought before and is pleased.
- Limited - shows a rarity or scarcity which increases desire.
- Guaranteed - if it’s junk, you get your money back… this offers peace of
mind. - Simple - don’t complicate things, make it easy, fast, and pleasant for
anyone making a purchase. Your ecommerce shopping cart should fall into this
line.
With these simple strategies on wording you can create a dynamic
Word Of Mouth Advertising campaign online that will become viral very
quickly.
