Learning To Invest

Investing Strategies

Investing is a key way to prosperity.  Learning how to invest is not something that can be done overnight.  There are several different ways you can invest.

Taking the time to learn about the different types of investments and the different investment mediums will give you greater confidence when you invest.  Dollar cost averaging is a very simple way of investing that is appealing to most investors because you decide how much each month you are able to invest and the stocks, or portion of stocks, are purchased through that amount.  When the price of the stocks are higher, you will be buying fewer shares and more shares when the price is down.

Dollar cost averaging can give you an investment
strategy
that evens-out the fluctuations in the price of an investment made
over time. It works by purchasing the same dollar amount of shares at regular
intervals. It is most commonly used to purchase mutual fund shares on a regular
basis.

Dollar cost averaging will reduce the risk of buying too much of a particular stock when it is priced higher.
