Making the Most of Marketing Money
Everyone hears that "people buy on emotions" yet we never truly give attention to that truth in our marketing efforts. What does it take to adhere to the emotions of a potential buyer? How can you give information that isn’t feature based but more benefit and emotionally rated?
The mind of a human being is an intricate animal. Each person is unique in their design and their personality and so each will respond differently to the same information. Understanding the flow of human thought may help you understand how to change your marketing approach. Here are a few bullets that can assist you in focusing your marketing campaign on the emotions of a buyer:
- Remember that everyone who has ears can hear and everyone who has eyes can see. I know this sounds silly, but in the marketing arena, it’s important not to forget exactly what you are wanting the prospect to hear and see.
- When a person hears or sees a word, it creates a visual picture that leads to an emotional thought.
- That emotional thought creates feelings that follow a pattern to form a belief system.
- Once this belief system is in place, an action will result. An action that can cause a buyer to take out money!
With this information, remember that your marketing message must create the right word in the buyer’s mind. Be sure to exhaust all resources to get your current clients to give you the ‘reason’ behind their loyalty to your product or service.
