Economist Calculates the Six-Figure Value of Love
Economist David Blanchfower has calculated that being married delivers the emotional value of and extra $100,000 a year!
Wow! Now I know why my friend Jim got married 5 different times! (Yes, he waited until the divorce(s) were final.)
And when you think about it, that means you don’t have to have a lot of money to feel rich… if you remain married for 10 years you’ll feel like a million bucks!
So what Dr. Blanchflower is saying is that it takes a lot of money to make you feel the same happiness as marriage, sex or other family experiences!
So here’s my question…
If you are already married and then you figure out how to make an extra $100,000 are you twice as happy?
For instantce is Alex, from Coral Springs, Florida half again as happy because he made $50,000 extra dollars on his first real estate deal?
And is Sheri, from Normandy Park, Washington nearly three quarters more happy because she and her husband made and EXTRA $60,000 on their first two real estate investing deals?
Can Cyndi, from Las Vega, Nevada be five hundred percent happier when she purchased a $675,000 home for $500,000 and the appraisal came back at $1,000,000?
Well, I suppose that they can be assuming the are happily married now.
But here’s a case for making more money in real estate investing.
As you’ve heard 50% of marriages end in divorce. However, when you look closely at the statistics you find that you reduce your chances of divorce by 30% if you make more than $50,000 a year!
I don’t know any better way to make an extra $50,000… $100,000… $500,000 or more than learning how to invest in real estate in your own hometown!
Anyone can get involved, you can work from home, you do it part time or full time, you don’t have to have a ton of money to get started, you can learn to do low or nothing down deals, you can hold the property for residual income or flip it for big chunks of cash!
One last question….
If you’re not married can making an extra $100,000 will you experience how great being married is? Hmmm, I wonder what Dr. Blanchflower thinks about that?
